ROHDE CONTEMPORARY offers the highest quality of Danish and international contemporary art. Since 2009 located in Copenhagen’s main gallery district, in the courtyard of Store Kongensgade 110B. Our opening hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5pm and Saturday 12-3pm.

The artistic vision of ROHDE CONTEMPORARY is to assemble a group of diverse artists who, across the usual categorization as media, age and nationality, have in common that they explore and challenge the field of contemporary art, through material experiments, conceptual acuity and visual inventiveness.

Kunstnerisk samarbeid

ROHDE CONTEMPORARY represent performance artists Christian Falsnaes (Denmark/Austria), Meir Tati (Israel), and work for the mediation of performance art through our Saturday program, where we invite performance artists to make use of our space. This is a new initiative, and we have so far shown one performance 'Voices' by Gerd Laugesen and Stine Marcinkowski. In the program for 2011 are performances by Jette Hye Jin Mortensen and Sophie Dupont.

ROHDE CONTEMPORARY are collaborating with Nikolaj Kunsthalle in Copenhagen in regards to their new performance program one Thursday every month: Tower Sessions. Christian Falsnaes opens the new performance program at Nikolaj with his performance Existing Things 24 February at 7pm.
