"When I was 5 I thought it was the best age."

I have a degree in performance art from the Turku Arts Academy and an MFA-degree from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts.

I make films, perform solo, perform in collaborational projects, create works as a visual artist using various forms of media such as photography, video, and installation, perform for the camera, sing and play music and spend a lot of time in my studio not creating art but trying to find ways for making it possible.

"When I was 5 I thought it was the best age."

I make films, perform solo, perform in collaborational projects, create works as a visual artist using various forms of media such as photography, video, and installation, perform for the camera, sing and play music and spend a lot of time in my studio not creating art but trying to find ways for making it possible.

Many of my works have dealt with the concepts and themes of identity, autobiography, memory, self-definition, and self-portraiture. My last film "Rondo" is a film about change, my previous film "99 Years of My Life" a study on narration, memory and mortality. My performances often express the body as a carrier of meanings, a place in which meaning can be constituted and via which it can be presented.
